Neither Saarburg Festival nor any affiliated or subsidiary companies shall be or become liable or responsible to any purchaser or passenger for any loss, injury or damage to persons, property, for accommodations, transportation, or other services, resulting directly, or indirectly, from Acts of God, dangers incident to the sea, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of governments or other authorities, de jure or de facto wars, whether declared or undeclared, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantine or customs regulations, delays or cancellations of, or any loss or damage resulting from improper or insufficient passports, visas, or other documents.(required)

I understand that the information in this application is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and that the audition tape submitted with the application is my own unedited performance. I also understand that the Saarburg International Music Festival has the right to dismiss students who have provided misleading information in the application. All participants are required to stay for the full two weeks of the festival.(required)

Audition Recordings:

ALL audition recordings should be submitted ONLY ONLINE as links !!!

Video recording ONLY (YouTube link ONLY/Youku link for Chinese students and NOT OLDER than 4 months) for all singers must accompany this application (NOT this year)

Video  recording ONLY (YouTube link ONLY/Youku link for Chinese students and  NOT OLDER than 4 months)  for all instrumentalists must accompany this application

Instrumentalists other than pianists should record and submit selections composed with an accompaniment – with the piano accompaniment.

NO OTHER FORMATS OR HUGE SOUND FILES PLEASE !!!

Please label your recording(s) with your full name and instrument.

Please provide full proper titles of recorded pieces and indicate an exact date of the recording(s).

NO use of selfies for the recordings please, as they often come out with contorted (mirrored) picture (left hand holding of the bow for string players for example or contorted faced and body) !!!

If you wish to be evaluated properly, your recording should be of high quality and represent your absolutely best technical and musical abilities.

NO recordings with amplification can be accepted and considered.

Please be aware, that the quality of your audition recording may ultimately affect your status and chamber music  assignments.

It should contain two contrasting works or sections of works (virtuosic/florid and cantilena), with total recorded time between 10 & 15 minutes.

Recent live recordings are preferred.

Pianists are requested to send in two recordings – one of which should be a recording of chamber music if possible.

Carefully review your recording (s) before submitting them to us for quality of sound and performance level. We strongly recommend that you send your audition recordings to your respective teacher for review and approval. A recording of poor quality makes it impossible to evaluate your performance fairly.

Please make sure that the recordings you submit are accessible to us (not designated for private use only) and have no viewing limitation date.

Singers, please include one cantabile selection and one containing some florid passages.

Recording is an OBLIGATORY item of every application.  No exception is possible !!!

We strongly encourage all participants to obtain an approval of your teacher prior to submitting your audition recording.
