Bassoon: Dale Clark

Dale Clark (bassoon) -  photoDr. Dale Clark is Adjunct Instructor of Bassoon at Arkansas State University. In 1992 Dr. Clark performed as co-principal bassoon with the Camerata Vocale in the Kammermusic Saal of the Philharmonie in Berlin, Germany. He is principal bassoonist of the Delta Symphony and also has performed as principal of the Sewanee Summer Music Festival Orchestra and the North Arkansas Symphony. He is a former member of the Memphis Woodwind Quintet. Dr. Clark has performed as guest artist at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Cincinnati College- Conservatory of Music, Florida State University, University of Texas-Austin, Cork School of Music in Ireland and the Birmingham Conservatoire. He has appeared at conferences of the International Double Reed Society as performer, composer, panel member, reed class instructor and exhibitor. Dr. Clark’s student bassoon quartet recently won first place in the Music Teachers National Association/Arkansas chamber music competition and will participate in the MTNA regional competition on January 10, 2016 in Houston, Texas. As owner and reed maker of Clark Bassoon Reeds, he provides professional quality bassoon reeds to over 1500 customers across the U.S. including symphony players and soloists in Boston, New York, San Francisco, Memphis and international players in Leipzig, London, Sydney,  Paris, Moscow, and Montevideo, Uruguay. His principal teachers include Ed Knob, Keith McClelland, Gary Echols and Matthew Ruggiero.  His website is www.clarkreeds.com.
